Wine Bottle Balloon invention Reviews Across the Net – Takes Its Place in Overcrowded Market Place

Wine Bottle Balloon Reviews

Wine Balloon invention is another wine preserver in an already crowded market place. Every kind of wine preserver has its merits but also it downfalls, so is Wine Bottle Balloon any different and what does it have to offer that other products do not.

The ultimate of wine collections and selection! Ultra-Premium, Allocated, Highly Rated, Cellaring Potential are just a few of the adjectives that can be used to describe these wines. As a gift to impress and indulge a client or loved one, or just pamper your own taste buds. Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux style blends and other reds with aging potential are predominately featured.

The product has been reviewed by sommeliers but one criticism versus the inert gas products is that you need to release the valve to deflate the air and remove the balloon from the wine bottle. This is not ideal in a busy bar or restaurant when wine is served by the glass. The gas wins hands down, as all the server has to do is remove the cork from the bottle. On the other hand, with Wine Bottle Balloon invention, no cork is required. Some have argued that the Wine Balloon is no good for commercial businesses because you would need to have too many wine balloons and it would be time consuming for a bar or restaurant when one inert gas canister can satisfy the need of several bottles.

The following quotes are opinions taken from various internet forums and product reviews:

“Since my wife doesn’t drink, I often have half a bottle of nice wine left after a meal. I have a couple of small complaints about it, however. First, it is much more expensive than it needs to be – - the product is extremely simple. Second, there is no “spare” balloon in the package. I don’t look forward to shelling-out another $23 for a replacement kit.

“The balloon often deflates. I have lost 2 bottles of wine due to this defect because I laid them on their side. Also, sometimes the air release valve won’t release. Worthless junk.

A Users Progress

“BUT (and it’s a big BUT): The balloon itself is very fragile. It worked for about a month and then I inflated it without being able to see it through an opaque bottle of red wine. It blocked incoming air as advertised, but I couldn’t tell that it had inflated enough. So I kept inflating it and it burst. Now what?

Amazon doesn’t advertise spare balloons, but Wine Balloon invention does. They want $3.50 if you order one at the time of purchase of the kit. Otherwise it costs $5.00! Up to you.
I suppose that if you have a bright light behind the bottle when you are inflating the balloon, you can see when it is big enough, and you stop before the Bottle balloon bursts.

September 7th 2011:
Using a replacement balloon I started again. As I said earlier, things work well if you can avoid over-inflating the balloon. Also, don’t let the weight of the tube and the ‘squeezer’ bulb drop onto the balloon, because the combined weight on the neck of the balloon when it is fully-inflated may be too much. Just watch the balloon through the bottle and keep things straight. Voila!  Since the original review I have used Wine Balloon a number of times, and have been impressed by how well it keeps wine for days at room temperature without spoiling it.
Buy it and try it!

December 1st 2011:
More problems. A small hole developed in the balloon, and it collapsed, allowing the air to get at my wine.
December15th 2011: I’m on my spare balloon, and so far so good. The balloon is definitely the weak spot in an otherwise useful device.”

The consensus is that Wine Bottle Balloon invention is an effective product that does what it says but the Bottle balloon is a weak spot. The price is also questioned as it seems too expensive for what it is. Clearly, the manufacturers need to take heed and supply a spare balloon at least for the price they are charging. An exploding balloon does not sound especially safe although the company would have done this type of testing without doubt. In a crowded market place, does the Wine Balloon really deliver? By all accounts, consumers are generally pleased with it when it works but frustrated at the price and the fragile balloon. The last thing any consumer needs is to keep going back and re-ordering spare parts especially at the price point.

Wine Bottle Balloon Overview Preparing for Shark Tank

The folks at Wine Balloon are busily preparing their pitch for the forthcoming Shark Tank program due to air on Friday February 10th. Taste the best wines the world has to offer. Old World or New, these wines have already past the wine expert’s tests, how about yours?

Shark Tank goes from strength to strength. As viewers, we cannot get enough of it. Entrepreneurs continually expose themselves to what seems ritual humiliation. Even non-business savvy viewers are stunned by the lack of preparation and idiocy of some candidates forward to the show.
It is quite embarrassing to watch when a Shark shoots a warning shot across the bows! “What is your expected turnover next year?” they may ask. “Errr Ummm er 15 million dollars”. When pressed the helpless entrepreneur states he meant to say fifteen thousand dollars. But wait a minute, that is not right………….. Finally, they admit defeat and say, “I don’t actually know!”

We are sure the Wine Bottle Balloon team will not be turning in a performance like this so let us look at what they will be doing.  Having decided why they want to be on television because they want some investment, advice, exposure, they will be ensuring the product is investment ready and their pitch is professional and entertaining.

Preparation is vital the Sharks will expect you to know your business inside out. Business plans are not just for accountants and bank managers, they are the road map for any business. Many businesses do not bother. That is like planning a wedding and seeing who will turn up on the day. Therefore, they will have their business plan – the business bible in place.

The Wine Balloon team may be finding gaps in their business model – it is so easy to be carried away on sales and marketing without a firm foundation. They will need to address any gaps before the go on air

It may sound crazy, but the team at Wine Bottle Balloon need to know more about their business than the Sharks do. There is no point thinking you have the upper hand because of your innovative product. The Sharks can analyse your business in their heads in an instant and know more than you think very quickly. Business fundamentals are just that. Profit and loss, research, cash flow, and planning are common to all business models so if you do not know your stuff the Sharks will bite and draw blood!

The personnel for the pitch are crucial. The key person in the business may not be the right person to make the pitch. The lynchpin of the business is often a jack-of-all-trades that knows every aspect of the business from finance to logistics with leadership qualities. This is a handy person to have on board. Next, you need to have industry specific expertise. Wine Bottle Balloon will be gathering these types of people to make the pitch.

Wine Balloon should know all the figures in their financial plan before taking a step toward the Shark Tank. Rather than giving reams of financial information, memorize the critical key facts such as cost per unit, selling price per unit and gross profit per unit. The break-even point is crucial and this figure needs to be to hand when making the presentation. This helps the Sharks decide on viability and formulates part of the “invest-able equation”.

Understanding profit is key and for the last three years of trading. Forecasting growth needs to be accurate as well and carved like stone in the entrepreneur’s minds are estimated turnover, estimated overhead and estimated total profit.  Do not forget net profit! (Gross profit minus overheads) needs to be a minimum of 20% to spark any interest.

Hard cash is what the tank is entered for. Have the answers to these questions ready:
How much cash do you need?
When do you need it?
Why do you need it?

This is the essential part of preparing for Shark Tank. The presentation itself will need to be smart and slick and demonstrate the product clearly. Wine Balloon is something that the entrepreneurs can see, touch, and try out for themselves, which can be an advantage but can also give them cause to reconsider.
